Cox adds TV Connect support for select tablets

Cox Communications has officially announced TV Connect support for Kindle Fire, Google Nexus, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and Note tablets. The Cox TV Connect app (available for Android and iOS), gives Cox TV subscribers access to over 90 national channels such as A&E, CNN, Discovery, History Channel, and TNT. Cox customers will need Cox TV Essential or Advanced TV and Cox Preferred, Premier or Ultimate Internet service to view the channels on tablets anywhere in their home. Read More

Free preview of Epix on Cox, DISH, and Verizon

Cox Communications, DISH and Verizon FiOS will be offering a free preview of Epix channels from Friday, Jan. 4 through Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. The previews will include both Standard Definition (480i) and High Definition (1080i) versions of the channels. The Epix network consists of 4 separate channels that include Epix, Epix2, Epix3, and Epix Drive-In (only available in SD). It appears the free channel previews will include both Epix and Epix2. New agreements add Disney & ESPN on multiple devices, “Watch NFL Network” content live on multiple PCs, and CBS On Demand

Cox Communications has added new ways to watch content from Disney/ESPN, NFL, and CBS. In a multi-year deal, Cox TV subscribers can watch Disney & ESPN on PCs, phones, tablets and the Xbox 360. And today, three Disney “Watch” channels have been made available to watch online and through Apple iPhones and iPads. Want to watch NFL Network or NFL Redzone on your PC? Cox Advanced TV customers with the Sports and Information Pak now get “Watch NFL Network” streaming live on multiple PCs. You can access those channels at cox.com/tv or nfl.com/watchnflnetwork using your Cox username/password. Lastly, Cox has added CBS content to it’s Video On Demand library, allowing subscribers to watch TV shows (in SD or HD) the day after airing and until 4 weeks after.  Read More
