Originally released in 2002, Electronic Arts’ Medal of Honor Frontline will be available in a special edition of Medal of Honor (2010) exclusive to the PS3. This will be the first time ‘Frontine’ will be available for Playstation 3, which released as the fourth installment of the Medal of Honor franchise. EA says the exclusive edition has been re-mastered in HD with improved graphics and all the “heart-wrenching battles” of the original.
“Medal of Honor has always been characterized by authenticity and reverence for the soldier. That sentiment has never been truer than it is today,” said Greg Goodrich, Executive Producer of Medal of Honor.
This year’s Medal of Honor release is set in Afghanistan (a change from the WWII environments), where the story is told through a small band of characters. Players are introduced to the Tier 1 Operator, an elite warrior and relatively unknown instrument of the U.S. Military that operates under the National Command Authority, taking on missions no one else can handle.
The game will release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on October 12, 2010.
