Toshiba to release Blu-ray player: Updated w/photos

As expected, Toshiba has finally announced a Blu-ray Disc player. The once arch-enemy of Toshiba, Sony’s Blu-ray format will now be part of the Toshiba family of electronics. The BDX2000 Blu-ray player supports BD-Live (Profile 2.0), Bonus View and 1080p resolution at 24 frames-per-second.

“With the introduction of our BDX2000 we are offering consumers what they want with a breath-taking HD viewing experience to meet the needs of today’s home theater,” said Jodi Sally, Vice President of Marketing, Digital A/V Group.

The BDX2000 will be released this coming November. Expected retail price is $249.99. As promised, please see photos posted below.
