Hulu off the auction block

Hulu is no longer for sale, after spending weeks on the auction block. Early interested parties included Google, Amazon, Yahoo, Dish Network and even South Korea mobile giant SK Telecom was interested (which turned out to be a rumor). Now it appears Hulu owners will keep the company for themselves, focusing on making the company successful.

Sony recalls Bravia HDTV part that overheats

Sony has made a statement about certain Bravia HDTVs that might overheat and ignite internally due to a faulty component. The "rare" occasions were reported in Japan where in some cases the overheating burned a hole through part of the HDTV's cabinet.

Sony reveals attempted hacks on networks

Sony's Chief Information Security Officer has revealed there have been multiple attempts to access the company's network database, and that possibly 0.1% of Sony accounts may have been affected. The CISO also suggested that data from other companies including paired user IDs and passwords were used in mass to attempt to access Sony's Networks.

The battle for simulation-racing domination between Sony and Microsoft shifts into 5th gear today as Forza 4 (Xbox 360, $59.99) hits store shelves. The early reviews for the game have been stellar (92 average on Metacritic), with critics like Digital Spy calling it ”Authentic yet accessible, educating, entertaining, occasionally silly, always spectacular, but most importantly, faster and more thrilling than riding a V12-powered rollercoaster with no restraints.” Whew.
