20th Century Fox has announced Rise of the Planet of the Apes on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. So far two editions are scheduled to hit shelves on Dec. 13, 2011 including a Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo with Digital Copy ($39.99) and Single-Disc DVD ($29.99).

FOX Network has got the full lineup of MLB World Series games starting Weds., October 19 at 8:05PM Eastern. This year it's the 90/72 St. Louis Cardinals vs. the 96/66 Texas Rangers. In the opening game we'll see St. Louis' Chris Carpenter against the Ranger's C.J. Wilson

Netflix announced support for tablets running Android 3.x. The new Netflix app version 1.5 is available free-of-charge to download in the Android Market. The company also announced Android support for customers in Canada and Latin America who want to stream content on their smartphones and tablets.

Google has revealed its latest iteration of the Android platform branded "Ice Cream Sandwich," complete with a splash of new features that should get any Android developer excited. In the big picture, Android 4.0 is expected to work on both tablets and smartphones, effectively combining Honeycomb and Gingerbread operating systems into one. According to Google UX head Matias Duarte, Android 4.0 should "simplify user's lives."

Sony's next entry into handheld gaming and multimedia goodness, the very pretty and actually-not-that-pricey PlayStation Vita, now has an official release date: February 22, 2012. Two models will be available on that Wednesday, a Wi-Fi enabled version at $249, and a 3G/Wi-Fi model for $299.

Disney is offering a $5 coupon for the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 5-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack. The 5-disc set includes a Blu-ray 3D disc, two Blu-ray discs, DVD and Digital Copy. The coupon is only valid through October 23, 2011.

This week is all Pirates of the Caribbean, with the release of 'On Stranger Tides' on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and digital download. On Blu-ray Disc alone there are four different versions

KA-POW! Just like that, one of the most anticipated releases of the year has been uncloaked. Batman: Arkham City is now available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version expected next month and a Wii U (remember that?) debut next year. 'Arkham City' is the follow up to the 2009 smash hit and critical darling, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and it looks like it may even top its predecessor.

Time Warner Cable customers in New York still don't have NFL Network, after talks between the two parties failed to reach an agreement. Sports Business Daily reported inside sources don't believe there will be a deal made this year, which means TMC customers won't get NFL Network's first live game this season when the Oakland Raiders play the San Diego Chargers on November 10.
