Dish Network has launched music channel Palladia in both standard-def and high-definition (HD) for customers who subscribe to the America’s Top 200 service package or higher level package. Subscribers to the Top 200 will now get Palladia instead of Fuse.
Palladia features music-related content from its owner, MTV Networks, a division of Viacom. The channel broadcasts the best music programming from MTV, VH1 and CMT in 1080i video resolution.
Palladia was launched in 2006 and is headquartered in New York City. The channel can also be found on AT&T U-verse (Channel 1502), Verizon FiOs (Channel 711), and DirecTV (Channel 567).
Dish Network recently launched an independent channel for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The Spanish-language channel carries the Univision presentation of the matches and is only available to DishLATINO customers.
