MGM will launch MGM HD, a purely high-definition channel, will launch on DIRECTV. The new network will broadcast a robust library of classic and contemporary films in HD. The announcement was made Sept. 18 by Harry E. Sloan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at MGM.
MGM HD, a new 24/7 network, will broadcast a robust library of classic and contemporary films in high definition resolutions. The channel will launch this fall on DIRECTV. While this will be a debut in the United States, the MGM channel is already available in approximately 120 channels across the world, which includes an MGM HD channel launched in Poland last year.
