It’s the last Tuesday release date of June but there are plenty of new Blu-ray releases to choose from. Here are our picks for the week followed by a more extensive list below.
Saban’s Power Rangers has been released to both Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray in combo packs from Lionsgate. The editions include bonus content such as audio commentary with director Dean Israelite and John Gatins, a documentary with several chapters, deleted and extended scenes, and outtakes, as well as a Digital HD copy from iTunes or UltraViolet partners.
Ewan McGregor and Ewen Bremner star in T2: Trainspotting from Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle, now available on Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray. The combo editions from Sony Pictures also include a Digital Copy with UltraViolet, deleted scenes, the featurette “20 Years in the Making: A Conversation with Danny Boyle and the Cast,” and audio commentary with Danny Boyle and screenwriter John Hodge.
Other notable releases this week include the movie adaptation of the TV show Chips that stars Michael Peña and Dax Shepard, The Rockford Files Complete Series starring James Garner, the Oscar-nominated classic film Straw Dogs (1971) starring Dustin Hoffman, Alfred Hitchcock’s The Lodger (1927), and three Pink Panther films including Son of the Pink Panther (1993), Curse of the Pink Panther (1983) and Inspector Clouseau (1968).
