Amazon offers one-day deal for Oscar-winners on Instant Video

You could prepare for tonight’s Academy Awards by working on a 6-minute acceptance speech, but why bother? Daniel Day-Lewis is just gonna hog up all the Oscars anyway. Amazon is offering another way to get in on the fun with its Gold Box Deal of the Day. The prices for 100+ films — all previous Oscar winners and nominees — have been reduced for 24 hours on the Amazon Instant Video service. HD versions are $5.99 each, while SD versions are $3.99. Consider the savings: The digital form of Gigli is currently going for $9.99, while Saving Private Ryan is $5.99 in hi def. Here’s the full list of HD titles on sale today:
