To be more specific on the coverage, Verizon customers in the New York City, Long Island, parts of New Jersey, and Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties will be able to receive the 3D broadcasts.
“We believe the 3D images of the action on the baseball field will be so real that viewers truly will feel like they are in the front row,” said Verizon’s Ted Denson. “FiOS TV viewers who see baseball in 3D will be tempted to duck their heads at the first foul ball that zips their way on the screen.”
Verizon says they will provide customers with a free manual-adjustment procedure to sync their set-top boxes with the 3D TV, a requirement to watch the YES 3D broadcast.
