Call of Duty Stimulus Package headed for PS3

Despite some criticism from hardcore gamers, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is still staying strong at the top of the multiplayer charts, and developer Infinity Ward is trying to keep it that way. A few weeks ago, the “Stimulus Package” DLC was released for the Xbox 360 version of the game. Now, on May 4th in the US and May 5th in Europe, that DLC is finally arriving for the PC and Playstation 3.

The “Stimulus Package” adds three new multiplayer maps, as well as “Crash” and “Overgrown,” two fan favorite maps from the original Modern Warfare. It also offers other various small tweaks to the multiplayer gameplay.

The DLC, a timed Xbox 360 exclusive, arrived at a $15 dollar price point that many gamers criticized, yet still paid. (2.5 million gamers in the first week, to be exact.) A price has not been officially announced for the PS3 and PC versions, but it is expected to remain the same. The update’s release on the 360 also came with some technical glitches, including disappearing maps, but the situation is not expected to occur with the PS3 and PC release.
