Comcast adds 6 HD channels to S. Jersey areas

Comcast has added new high-definition (HD) channels to areas in Southern New Jersey. Customers in Comcast’s Garden State markets will now get History Channel HD (Ch. 217), CNN HD (Ch. 221), USA HD (Ch. 222), Discovery Channel HD (Ch. 224), Animal Planet HD (Ch. 230), and AMC HD (Ch. 238).

The areas which Comcast serves include the City of Camden, Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, Pennsauken and additional surrounding areas. Comcast also serves Fort Dix and the McGuire Air Force Base.

According to Comcast, the company is upgrading customers to their “World of More” digital services which will give customers over 100 HD channel choices.

The Comcast Video On Demand (VOD) library currently offers over 1,000 HD choices every month.

    Its March 2010 and still no Science HD, no ABC Family HD , and no Disney HD

    Now that they’re pushing for their new XFINITY branding promising a ton more HD channels, I have to wonder WHEN this is going to happen….
