There are so many great 4k Blu-ray Discs coming in April that it’s going to be hard to choose which ones to add to your collection. But what may be a harder decision is whether or not to buy the more expensive SteelBook editions from Best Buy. Here’s a breakdown of what we’ll be buying followed by an extended list. In the first week of April you can pick up Paramount’s Bumblebee for the first time on disc, available as a common 4k Blu-ray edition or Best Buy SteelBook edition. Clint Eastwood’s The Mule also hits stores on April 2, as well as a re-issued double feature of the Hellboy Animated series from Starz.
Mid-way through the month be sure to plan for M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass on 4k Blu-ray, also available in several retailer exclusives (see all the variations here). And, now-classic drama The Karate Kid (1984) celebrates its 35th Anniversary with a 4k Blu-ray release.
April 23 will bring several upgraded films to 4k Blu-ray including Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), and Alien (1979) — all of which will be available in limited edition SteelBooks with custom artwork from Best Buy.
