March is going to be a great month for Ultra HD Blu-ray with several Oscar-winners and blockbusters hitting stores on disc for the first time. Let’s take a look at what’s scheduled for release on 4k Blu-ray. Just click on the title to get more info.
On the first Tuesday of the month Creed II releases to Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD — the combo UHD BD edition includes 4k Blu-ray, Blu-ray and a digital copy to redeem. [Editor: Oscar-winner Mary Queen of Scots released on Feb. 26, 2019.]
On Mar. 12 three new 4k Blu-ray titles are scheduled including Green Book, Mortal Engines and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. All of the movies will be available in 2-disc combo editions with a digital copy. And, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will also release in exclusive retailer editions from both Best Buy and Target.
On Mar. 19, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Mary Poppins Returns hit stores in common editions as well as retailer exclusives from Best Buy and Target. Lord of War (2005) starring Nicolas Cage has also been upgraded to Ultra HD.
Finally, on Mar. 26 DC’s Aquaman will release to 4k Blu-ray in a common edition and exclusives from Best Buy and Target, as well as a remastered edition of Pet Sematary (1989) based on the novel from Stephen King.
