This week brings one of the largest batches of new 4k Blu-ray releases we’ve seen in a while, with a dozen new titles we know about hitting shelves. If you don’t have an Ultra HD Blu-ray player yet (but have already have a 4k TV), some of these new 4k Blu-ray combos include redemption codes for Digital UHD copies (like we’ve seen with Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.) 4k digital copies aren’t guaranteed for all titles, but it’s another reason to consider buying Ultra HD Blu-ray combos.
Highlights this week include re-mastered 4k Blu-ray editions of E.T. The Extra Terrestrial and three films from The Mummy franchise, this year’s The Mummy starring Tom Cruise, vampire films Van Helsing (2004) and Drakula Untold (2014), and the Best Buy exclusive Zero Dark Thirty.
