It’s yet another Tuesday, and that means new home media releases on Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and 4k Blu-ray. Here are our top picks for the week, followed by a longer list of movies and TV shows now on Blu-ray.
Walt Disney Studios has released a 25th Anniversary edition of Beauty and the Beast that comes with the featurette “25 Years Of Musical Inspiration,” fun facts, and audio commentary among other bonus material. The 2-disc edition includes Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD copies of the film while the pricey 3-disc Diamond Edition also includes a 3D Blu-ray copy. Paramount Pictures’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is now available in six different editions (that’s right, six) not including retailer-exclusive editions from Best Buy, Target and Walmart. The various formats to choose from include Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD (released earlier this month). Price: $22.99 (Blu-ray), $24.99 (3D Blu-ray), $27.99 (Ultra HD Blu-ray)
And, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising starring Seth Rogen and Zac Efron hits shelves on Blu-ray in a 2-disc edition that includes a DVD and Digital HD copy from iTunes or UltraViolet. The 2-disc edition from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment packs quite a bit of bonus material such as production featurettes, deleted scenes, gag reel, and audio commentary. Price: $19.99
On Ultra HD Blu-ray today Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is available along with the 30th Anniversary Special Edition of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth.
