As evidenced by the big Xbox One-80 last week, Microsoft has been in damage control mode for most of the month of June. But has the control spilled over to its search engine? Some keen observers have noticed a difference between the auto-fill results when you type “The Xbox One is” into Bing as opposed to Google. Bing finishes off that sentence with “amazing,” while Google yields results that are a tad more abrasive:
Is this the work of Microsoft filters shielding the company from more internet shame? Or is it just a coincidental showing of Bing lovers also being way too excited about a console that’s still months away from its debut? Either way it’s another littler nugget of negative press, which the company clearly does not need now.
