Looking for a great combination? Forget chocolate and peanut butter; when you mix the Star Wars universe with a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, you’ve got a license to print credits. For proof, see the fact that the recent public testing phase of the Star Wars: The Old Republic brought in 2 million volunteers. According to the game’s publisher, EA, a whopping 725,000 unique players joined the game over the Thanksgiving weekend, making it “one of the biggest beta tests in history.” Roughly 2.4 million Jedis and Siths had already registered in advance on the game’s official website, with testers averaging 12 hours of game time over the holiday weekend. The game launches December 20 in North America and Europe, with pre-orders starting Dec. 15.
