Just a few days after the celebration of Grand Theft Auto III’s 10 year anniversary, Rockstar Games has confirmed that, yes, GTA V is coming, and the game’s first trailer will debut Friday, November 2. The news wasn’t exactly hidden like an ancient Chinese secret—rockstargames.com simply shows a massive logo for the game and the trailer release date. You’ll recall Grand Theft Auto IV was a smash hit when it was released in April of 2008, earning a sick $500 million dollars in its first week before going on to sell more than 22 million units worldwide. No other details about the latest iteration of GTA have emerged yet, but Kotaku reports unnamed sources have told them the game will be set in Los Angeles or a city modeled after L.A., with more than one playable character. GTA IV was set in Liberty City, a New York clone, and players controlled the protagonist, Niko Bellic, an Eastern European war veteran in search of better days in America.
