Sony announced they will ship a 24-inch 3D display this fall which features Sony’s proprietary two-player mode allowing two gamers to see individual images at full screen using the bundled 3D glasses (and playing a game which supports it).
The display (Sony CECH-ZED1) delivers a 5000:1 contrast ratio with 4ms GTG response time at 176 degree viewing angles. Built-in speakers on the left and right sides of the display are supported by a subwoofer on the back.
The affordable 3D gaming display (US $499.99), will come bundled with 3D glasses, HDMI cable, and “Resistance 3” (release date Sep. 6, 2011). An additional pair of 3D glasses, which Sony says will run for three hours on a 3 minute charge, will sell for $69.99.
