Verizon plans to launch ten 3D feature films in the next two months. Starting with “Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore” on November 16, Verizon’s FiOS TV will offer the films on-demand to customers with a 3D TV and HD set-top box. “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” “Chicken Little” and “Bolt” are among the other 3D films to be offered.
“This selection of 3D movies allows our customers to see what 3D on FiOS TV is really like,” said Tricia Lynch, director of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon.
Also among the ten titles to be added after Nov. 16 are these feature films in 3D: “Step Up 3D”; “Meet the Robinsons” (Walt Disney Pictures); “Journey to the Center of the Earth,” “Under the Sea,” “Deep Sea” and “NASCAR” (Warner Bros. Digital Distribution).
FiOS TV customers can find the 3D movies in the “High Definition” VOD folder, under HD 3D and the “Movies” VOD folder under 3D Movies.
