Epix launching online HD viewing

Epix is launching widespread online viewing of content for Cox and Mediacom customers on EpixHD.com. The service provides Epix subscribers with a full lineup of movies via the website, including over 150 HD and SD movies per month. In July, the company plans on launching the service for Charter Communications subscribers.

Star Trek, Shutter Island, Precious and Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself are among the new releases available on EpixHD.com. Classics such as Godfather and music performances from Madonna, Black Eyed Peas, Lewis Black and David Cross are also part of the lineup.

“As we continue to define the future of multi-screen entertainment consumption, we are thrilled EPIX and EpixHD.com will be universally accessible to Cox, Charter and Mediacom customers,” said Mark Greenberg, President and CEO of EPIX.

Charter, Mediacom and Cox launched the EPIX channel and SVOD service in April and are supporting the introduction of the third platform, EpixHD.com, with launch marketing campaigns that include free previews in June and July.
