Comcast launches 11 new HD channels in Hartford

In Hartford, Connecticut, Comcast has launched 11 new HD channels in six communities including Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford, Simsbury, West Hartford and Windsor. The news comes via West Hartford News who reported on the high-def additions earlier today.

The new high-definition channels include Biography HD (Channel 285), DisneyXD HD (Channel 255), ESPNews HD (Channel 259), Fuse HD (Channel 257), IFC HD (Channel 253), Lifetime Movie Network HD(Channel 258), MGM HD (Channel 254), NECN HD (Channel 237), Planet Green HD (Channel 183), Showtime Showcase (Channel 225), and WE HD (Channel 256).

Comcast’s digital upgrade has already reached fifteen Connecticut communities in the Plainville and Vernon areas, as well as areas across New England. The upgrades include more dedicated HD channels, more HD titles On Demand and faster internet service.
