Amazon has knocked $105 off its Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray Disc Player
. Once “added to cart” the item drops down to $194.95. That’s 35% off the suggested retail of $299.95 which was set when the product was first made available back in March ’09.
For video the player supports 1080/24p Playback, upscaling to 1080p and Deep Color. The player also features PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus – which uses a PHL Chip to reproduce colors closer to the original film.
For audio the player supports Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD (all decode and bitstream output) giving it 7.1 channel surround sound capability.
Other features include Viera Cast (connecting you with YouTube, Picasa, Weather, Amazon VOD), BD-Live, SD Card Slot and USB slot. The player is also Energy Star rated, using an Auto Power Stand-By function which shuts off the player when you switch to the TV.
