BBC Worldwide has announced it will launch BBC AMERICA HD on July 20th with a week of sci-fi programming. Torchwood, Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead, Being Human and the season finale of Primeval (Season 3) are all scheduled for airing that week.
Torchwood: Children of Earth will begin the launch of BBC AMERICA HD, starting on July 20th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT and continuing the story over 5 nights. The series re-joins Captain Jack, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones as they are still coming to terms with the death of two of their closest friends.
Primeval (Season 3) will conclude on Saturday, July 25th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. As the embattled team continues to fight against unrelenting threats and creatures, Helen (Juliet Aubry) is attempting to stop the destruction of the Earth by traveling back in time to prevent humans from evolving.
Being Human, a BBC AMERICA co-production, will premiere in HD on Saturday July 25th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The show will look into the lives of three twenty-somethings and their secret double-lives – as a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost.
And, the first of the last four Doctor Who specials will premiere on Sunday, July 26th at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead will feature David Tennant as the tenth Time Lord who must join forces with the mysterious Lady Christina when a London bus takes a detour into an alien world.
