While other holiday sweepstakes are giving away Blu-ray Disc players and iPods, WFN HD (World Fishing Network) and Dish Network announced a cash sweepstakes, with $4,500 as the grand prize. There is no purchase necessary, you simply fill out an entry form. The contest is open until Jan. 9, 2009.
“We had plenty of ideas for grand prizes, from boats and fishing expeditions to rods and reels, but right on the heels of the holiday shopping season and during this time of economic uncertainty we figured cash would be king among consumers,” said Mark Rubinstein, President of WFN.
WFN HD brings you 24-hour high-definition programming dedicated to angling and sport fishing. The network brings insight from professional anglers like Bob & Wayne Izumi, Angelo Viola, Babe Winkelman, and Dave Mercer.
