Massachusetts residents will soon have Verizon FiOS as an option for television service, including high-definition and VOD content. The ciites of Ashland and Plymouth have granted contracts for Verizon FiOS TV service. This brings the total amount of Massachusetts communities covered by Verizon up to 74.
Verizon recently announced it would launch more than 60 new channels this summer, with at least 25 of the channels being HD. The total number of high-definition channels should reach between 52 and 65 depending on the area.
