Dish Network announced yesterday the addition of four HD (high definition) local markets that includes: Cleveland – Akron (Canton), Ohio; Milwaukee, Wisc.; Richmond – Petersburg, Va.; and Tampa – St. Petersburg (Sarasota), Fl.
DISH Network now reaches 58 percent of U.S. television households with local HD channels. (Local channels can include ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and PBS.) Dish has set a goal of having 100 local HD markets and 100 nationwide HD channels by the end of 2008.
