Formerly called Discovery Kids HD, Verizon has launched high-definition network The Hub on FiOS TV Channel 789. “The Hub HD is a great new addition to the FiOS TV channel lineup, as we consistently look for new programming for kids and new high-definition programming for our customers,” said Terry Denson, VP of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon.
The Hub HD is a multi-platform joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro Inc. The network will feature original programming and content from Discovery’s library of children’s educational programming, from Hasbro’s educational properties, and from leading third-party producers worldwide.
The Hub lineup includes animated and live-action series, specials and game shows, and will extend its content through a robust and engaging online presence. The channel is also available in standard-definition on FiOS TV Channel 259.
