Cable TV provider Mediacom Communications added 25 HD channels to its lineup in Lake County, CA this week. Twenty of those channels were added to the HD Family Cable package at no extra cost, bringing the HD channel count for that tier to 28.
The cable company has also started adding new HD channels to markets in Iowa this week. Those areas include Des Moines, Boone, Marshalltown, Newton and Chariton. Family package subscribers will end up with nine more HD channels that include Discovery, TLC, Animal Planet, Food Network and Speed. The family package now has a total of 27 high-definition channels.
Mediacom is headquartered in Middletown, New York. and provides TV service in 23 U.S. states including: Alabama, Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
