DirecTV Adds Local HD Networks in Bangor, Maine

directv-logo-sqIt’s been a long time waiting, but DirecTV customers in the Bangor, Maine market area can finally get local channels in HD (High Definition). The local broadcast networks now available in HD include WLBZ/NBC, WVII/ABC, WABI/CBS, WFVX/FOX and WMEB/PBS.

The additions bring DirecTV’s local HD offerings to a total of 122 cities, which represents close to 89-percent of TV households in the US.

To get HD channels, DirecTV customers need an H20 or H21 HD receiver, or HR20 or HR21 DIRECTV Plus HD DVR and a Ka/Ku band dish, as well as an HD TV (720p/1080p) or 4k TV (2160p).
