Sometimes the exclusives are just too cool to pass up, that’s why retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart often partner with media distributors to package unique editions of fan-favorite movies and shows that offer more than direct studio releases.
Avengers: Infinity War is one of those movies that will get several retailer editions along with the standard Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray versions from Disney. The just-announced release date for “Infinity War’ on Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand is Tuesday, Aug. 14, although an early digital release will have it downloading and streaming on July 31.
Avengers: Infinity War Blu-ray Variations
Let’s take a look at the Blu-ray variations of Avengers: Infinity War — what makes them special and how much they cost.
Common Blu-ray & 4k Blu-ray Editions
The common Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray editions of Avengers: Infinity War each come with a Digital Copy, but unfortunately Disney has removed a backup DVD copy in the Blu-ray version. The Ultra HD combo, however, does have a backup Blu-ray Disc. Extra bonus material on the Blu-ray editions include ten minutes of deleted scenes, gag reel, audio commentary, and four featurettes. Pre-orders of Avengers: Infinity War are selling for $24.99 (Blu-ray) and $29.99 (4k Blu-ray).
Best Buy SteelBook Blu-ray Editions
Best Buy’s 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray combo edition of Avengers: Infinity War comes with two discs packaged in an aluminum SteelBook case showcasing the bejeweled fist of Thanos. There’s also artwork on the inside featuring Gamora, Iron Man, Black Widow, and other Avengers members. The edition includes the bonus material mentioned above and a Digital Copy with Movies Anywhere partners. Best Buy’s Avengers: Infinity War 4k SteelBook retails for $34.99.
Target Exclusive Editions
Target has a few exclusive editions of Avengers: Infinity War available to pre-order.
The first (pictured above) is a 2-disc combo with 4k Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and code to redeem a Digital Copy. And, a 40-page exclusive Gallery Book is included. The nicely-illustrated cover art is a bit different than the common edition in that it doesn’t feature the villain KronosThanos, but rather the Avengers superheroes themselves. That edition is priced $32.99 and seems to be the best deal considering everything you get with it.
They also have REDcard exclusive (limit 5 per card holder) Avengers: Infinity War Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray bundles with a limited edition Funko POP! Iron Man “Red Chrome” outfit. If you like POP! collectibles, this limited edition is for you. You might even sign up for a Target card just to get it. The REDcard Blu-ray bundle is priced $31.99 while the 4k Blu-ray is priced $41.99.
Walmart Exclusive Edition
Walmart also had an exclusive Blu-ray edition available to pre-order, but as we wrote this article it was removed from the Walmart website. We’ll update this article if anything changes.

Thanks Rom2814 for picking out that typo! BTW: Kronos (also Chronos) is a Marvel character that first appeared in Iron Man #55.
“doesn’t feature the villain Kronos“ – what? You know there’s no character by that name, right? Thanos?
