Thor: Ragnarok releases to disc formats on March 6th, and along with the standard editions will also be available in several retailer exclusives. The film, starring Chris Hemsworth, Cate Blanchett and Jeff Goldblum has grossed over $850M at the worldwide box office. It was previously released to digital on Feb. 20, but for those of you still dedicated to physical media here’s a look at those Blu-ray variations to help you choose which one to pick up on Tuesday.
Blu-ray “Multi-Screen Edition”
All the Thor: Ragnarok Blu-ray releases are “multi-screen” editions, but this one says it specifically on the cover, highlighting the fact the movie can be played on computers, tablets, phones and TVs via Movies Anywhere — Disney’s digital movie platform that’s shared with many video services like iTunes and Vudu. Let’s take a look at the specifications and extras available on Blu-ray.

Thor: Ragnarok bonus features are extensive with exclusive never-before-seen deleted and extended scenes, outtakes, gag reel, an exclusive short “Team Darryl”, part three of the mockumentary “Team Thor (Team Darryl)”, Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years, making-of featurettes, the film’s comic-book origins, 8-bit scenes, audio commentary from Director Taika Waititi, and more.

The Ultra HD Blu-ray standard edition of Thor: Ragnarok is packaged slightly different than the Blu-ray version, with “Cinematic Universe Edition” printed at the bottom of the cover.

Best Buy SteelBook Editions
Best Buy has both Blu-ray and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray exclusive editions of Thor: Ragnarok, each packaged in their signature SteelBook case material. The cover art features a profile of Thor with his dual swords, with Loki and Hulk facing each other on the inside of the case. The 2-disc editions include either a DVD or Blu-ray as well as digital copy.

The Blu-ray SteelBook edition of Thor: Ragnarok from Best Buy sells for $27.99, while the 4k Blu-ray SteelBook edition is priced $34.99.
Target Exclusive Blu-ray
The Target exclusive edition of Thor: Ragnarok includes a 40-page behind-the-scenes filmmaker gallery book, as well as a DVD and Digital HD copy. The cover art is a bit different than the standard editions, with Thor crossing his dual swords above the Marvel Studios logo.

3D Blu-ray
Good luck finding a cheap Blu-ray 3D edition of Thor: Ragnarok in the United States. Amazon has an all region 3D edition listed for $74.99, but if you don’t want to pay that much you might look to Amazon’s UK website where it’s about a third of the price. Make sure your Ultra HD Blu-ray supports 3D and region free playback. For example the PlayStation 4 supports region free discs.
