The DC Universal Original Movie Batman and Harley Quinn will release to Blu-ray, Ultra HD Blu-ray, and DVD on Tuesday, August 29. Written by Bruce Timm and directed by Sam Liu, the animated film partners Batman, Nightwing and the devilish Harley Quinn to defeat Poison Ivy and the Floronic Man.
On both Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray, Batman and Harley Quinn is presented at 16×9 (1.78:1) aspect ratio. However, the 4k Blu-ray edition at 2160p resolution quadruples the amount of detail of the standard Blu-ray 1080p edition. And, the 4k video features HDR color deeper color and contrast.
The soundtrack to Batman and Harley Quinn isn’t as good as it could be though, especially on Ultra HD Blu-ray. Audio specified on the back of the slipcover says it’s only available in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 on both Blu-ray editions.
As far as extra content, Batman and Harley Quinn includes the featurettes “The Harley Effect” and “Loren Lester: In His Own Voice,” a sneak peek at “Batman: Gotham by Gaslight,” and two bonus cartoons.
The Blu-ray editions also include a digital copy redeemable with UltraViolet partners by 9/30/2018. Unfortunately, this release from Warner Bros. does not include an iTunes digital copy.
The suggested list price of Batman and Harley Quinn is $24.99 (Blu-ray) and $44.99 (Ultra HD Blu-ray). Check below for more updated pricing from Amazon.
