AT&T’s over-the-top television service DirecTV Now has more than doubled its live, local network lineup with the addition of new ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates.
The expansion includes thirty new ABC markets in cities such as Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Boston. Four new NBC markets include Kansas City, MO., Salt Lake City, Milwaukee and West Palm Beach, FL. And, FOX will now be available in one additional market in Juneau, Alaska.
DirecTV Now claims to have live local coverage in almost 70% of TV households nationwide.
By the end of August, the service plans to triple the number of local live networks that were available upon launch.
The fourth major network, CBS, is not available on DirecTV as it has its own over-the-top television service, CBS All Access.
DirecTV Now offers over 120 channels including traditional cable networks, live sports, on demand content, and premium channels such as HBO and Cinemax.
