The second season of the Netflix Original Series Marco Polo is now available to stream to TVs, PCs, tablets and other internet-connected devices. The season picks up where Season 1 ended, when Kublai Khan decides to become emperor of the world and the introduction of gunpowder may change the way future battles are fought.
Like other Netflix Original Series all ten episodes of Marco Polo Season 2 have been released simultaneously, so if you’ve got nothing better to do over the weekend the entire season could be binge-watched in about ten hours.
We also want to stress the video and sound quality of Marco Polo. The series is lauded as one of Netlix’s premium productions, with video available in up to 4k Ultra HD to subscribers with 4k TVs, and, High Dynamic Range (HDR) to customers with 4k TVs that support the new specification. TVs that support HDR from Netflix currently include select models from LG, Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp, Sony, and Toshiba.
For those accessing Netflix through streaming media players, Roku 4, Fire TV (2nd-generation), Shield TV all support 4k. But only the Shield TV will playback HDR content.
Audio is available in Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 for systems that support the surround sound format, or otherwise downsampled to the next best quality.
