Gotham: Season 1 Release Date Revealed by Warner Bros.

gotham-robert-lord-taylor-stillWith 22 episodes comprising the first season, DC Comics’ and Warner Bros. Television’s Gotham was an ambitious series to produce. And, it’ll take four Blu-ray Discs to hold all those episodes, along with several featurettes, character profiles, unaired scenes, gag reel, and other bonus content. Both the Blu-ray and DVD (6-disc) editions will have plenty of extra content, but only the Blu-ray set will include Digital HD copies via UltraViolet. (Sorry, no iTunes redemption codes with this release.)

Gotham: The Complete First Season will hit stores on September 8th, and will include the 50-minute “Pilot: Extended Version” (while all other episodes are 44-minutes). The Blu-ray discs will be presented in 1080p with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound audio track.

“With this release, fans will be able to get acquainted with the early chapters of their favorite Super Hero prior to the premiere of Season Two,” said Rosemary Markson, WBHEG Senior Vice President of Television Marketing.
