The Netflix Original Series Lilyhammer will return for its third season on Friday, November 21. The eight-episode season stars Steven Van Zandt as former gangster Frank ‘The Fixer’ Taglian, who is relocated to Lillehammer, Norway under a federal witness program.
Van Zandt, who also serves as an executive producer, writer, and composer for the series, will also make his directorial debut with the finale of the season.
Lilyhammer premiered its first season in February, 2012 and has since won several international awards including Best TV Drama, Golden Screen, Norway. Netflix announced season three of the series back in January.
“Lilyhammer is a funny and fantastic example of programming for a global audience – a comedic culture clash that’s drawn in viewers from around the world,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix.
The series will be available for Netflix subscribers in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Latin America, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Other original programming from Netflix includes the series Arrested Development, House Of Cards, Hemlock Grove, and Orange Is The New Black.
