NBC Sports has announced streaming of 103 NHL hockey games for the upcoming 2013/2014 season. NBC Sports Live Extra has never streamed this many games before, and most of them will available via multiple platforms in and out of the home via Comcast’s Xfinity “TV Everywhere” initiative.
This season, NBC will broadcast 13 NHL games and NBC Sports Network 90 games. The NHL 2013/2014 season starts on October 1st, when the Toronto Maple Leafs face off against the Montréal Canadiens on their home ice.
Highlights this season include the 2014 NHL Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings, as well as the NHL Stadium Series played at Dodger Stadium, Yankee Stadium, Soldier Field and BC Place in Vancouver, B.C.
