If you were trying to stream movies from Netflix on Christmas Eve you may have experienced a dropout period. Reutersreports (via Netflix spokesman Joris Evers) that an outage at one of Amazon’s cloud web servers affected Netflix’s streaming services, leaving some subscribers in the United States, Canada, and Latin America without the service. And, reports indicate some customers were unable to stream until Christmas day. The outage apparently started at about 12:30 p.m. PST on Dec. 24, originating from one of Amazon’s cloud servers in Virginia. Netflix was quick to avoid blame for the outage, pointing to the Amazon service as the source of the problem. Their most recent tweet states “The outage has been resolved. If you still have issues, try a reset or contact Customer Service.”
