DIRECTV free preview of HBO and Cinemax channels

If you’re a DIRECTV subscriber you might not need to visit the video store (or rental kiosk) this coming weekend. Starting Friday, Sept. 14, DIRECTV is offering a free preview of HBO and Cinemax channels. HBO can be found on channels 501 through 511 while Cinemax can be found on channels 515 through 523. The preview includes HD (high-definition) channels, so be sure to clear up some space on your DVR and record a few of your favorite movies to enjoy later. Just to mention a few titles on Friday night, HBO HD West (ch. 503) will air A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, Cinemax MoreMax HD (ch. 517) has got Unstoppable in primetime, and Cinemax (ch. 511) will play Underworld later in the evening. Check DIRECTV’s Channel Guide for exact times. The DIRECTV free movie channel preview ends in four days on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012. Word on the street is Verizon FiOS customers will also be getting the preview — so pass it on!
