Dolby has announced the UltraViolet digital movie format will support Dolby Digital Plus. Dolby had been working early on the refinement and testing of the Ultraviolet Common File Format (UV CFF) in the DECE environment, and has released a development kit to support companies working in with the format. “A new era in entertainment has begun with UltraViolet, and Dolby is working closely with the content community to ensure that consumers of UltraViolet content can enjoy optimized sound no matter what content, service, or device they choose,” said Ron Geller, Vice President, Worldwide Content Relations, Dolby.
