NBC has partnered with software company Adobe to stream this summer’s Olympics Games in London. Best of all, NBC will offer the mobile broadcasts for free-of-charge — you just need to have a service provider and use your account email/password to validate a device. NBC plans to live stream over 3500 hours of events, covering all competitions and award ceremonies. Adobe and NBC Olympics launched two applications: NBC Olympics Live Extra; and NBC Olympics. The first app lets cable, telephone, and satellite companies stream the Olympic events. The second app streams information such as schedules and results. Both apps are available for Apple iOS devices and Android devices with Google Play. The Adobe software will run on Adobe’s Media Server 5 and is built to monitor viewers (or web traffic) in order to target marketing. The London Olympics Games start on July 27, 2012.
