‘Damages’ final Season 5 starts July 11

Damages’ Season 5 (the show’s final season) will air on DIRECTV on July 11 at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time. The show has won several awards including a Golden Globe for Best Actress (Glenn Close), an AFI Award for Best Actress (Rose Byrne), and nineteen Emmy award nominations. This season the award-winning Glenn Close and Rose Byrne will return to the show and will be joined by Ryan Phillippe, Jenna Elfman, Janet McTeer, and John Hannah. There hasn’t been much revealed about the new season, but we do know the show is headed for a showdown between Patty (Glenn Close) and Ellen (Rose Byrne) in a case involving insider information. Jenna Elfman will return as the troubled investment banker Naomi Walling. Janet McTeer will play Kate Franklin who is hired to help Ellen. And, newcomer Ryan Phillippe will play the role of Channing McClaren — computer expert and founder of the wiki-leaks-like website McClarenTruth.org. Damages can be found on DIRECTV’s AUDIENCE Network on channel 239 in high-definition (HD).
