BARBARELLA gets remastered to Blu-ray

The 70’s cult classic BARBARELLA has been digitally remastered to high-definition and set for release on Sony’s Blu-ray Disc format. If you need a refresher on BARBARELLA, the film stars Jane Fonda as a space-age heroine who lands on the fictional planet Lythion in the year 40,000. The cheeky film which Paramount PR calls a “sexual Alice in Wonderland of the future” is good for a few laughs and at the very minimum entertaining just for Fonda’s sexy outfits. The video resolution of BARBARELLA Blu-ray is of course 1080p, accompanied by an English Mono Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Other languages in Mono Dolby Digital include English, Spanish, and French. Release date is set for July 3, 2012. But, can you wait that long?
