It’s been a long haul for PS3 owners who want to watch Amazon Instant Video on their gaming console. But finally, Amazon has launched an app for the service. Prime Members get the most out of this app, with the ability to stream about 17,000 titles from the Amazon library. Those without the Prime Membership can rent or purchase movies à la carte from Amazon. And, those who want to just try out the service on PlayStation 3 can watch the first episode of over 100 TV shows for free for one week. Unfortunately, Xbox and Wii owners will still have to play the wait game. The downloadable 17MB app is available through the PS3’s cross-media bar interface. Why not give it a go?
