Sony reveals attempted hacks on networks

Sony's Chief Information Security Officer has revealed there have been multiple attempts to access the company's network database, and that possibly 0.1% of Sony accounts may have been affected. The CISO also suggested that data from other companies including paired user IDs and passwords were used in mass to attempt to access Sony's Networks.

Car Wars: Forza 4 out today, Gran Turismo counters with price drop, DLC

The battle for simulation-racing domination between Sony and Microsoft shifts into 5th gear today as Forza 4 (Xbox 360, $59.99) hits store shelves. The early reviews for the game have been stellar (92 average on Metacritic), with critics like Digital Spy calling it ”Authentic yet accessible, educating, entertaining, occasionally silly, always spectacular, but most importantly, faster and more thrilling than riding a V12-powered rollercoaster with no restraints.” Whew.

New on Blu-ray: Green Lantern, Zookeeper, Bones

What's on Blu-ray this week? Zookeeper is a hilarious comedy about an animal caretaker who can talk to animals. The movie stars Kevin James, Rosario Dawson, and Adam Sandler and is definitely worth checking out. Green Lantern, the "other green superhero," gets released in several hi-def disc editions this week.

CinemaNow upgrades to streaming 1080p

Best Buy's CinemaNow online movie service is adding several hundred movies in 1080p HD to their streaming library. The hi-def additions include movies from 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. which will contribute to CinemaNow's 15,000+ title library.

Panasonic signs new deal for US soccer coverage

Closing in on 10 years of covering soccer in the US, Panasonic has announced a three year sponsorship deal with Major League Soccer (MLS) and U.S. Soccer. Panasonic's coverage includes high-definition television broadcasts including 3D simulcasts, as well as providing displays and equipment within a number of soccer stadiums.

‘Transformers: Fall of Cybertron’ video game officially announced

Activision has formerly announced the release of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will happen in fall, 2012. The video game is currently being developed by California-based High Moon Studios.
