Xbox adds ‘Gears of War 3’ Shipwreck Demo to marketplace

Want to try Gears of War 3 for free on your Xbox 360? Microsoft has added a demo featuring the ‘Shipwreck’ mission that is exclusive for all Gold subscribers. The 1.15 GB demo can now be downloaded from the Xbox Marketplace — a great way to “try before you buy.” Gears of War 3 ‘Standard Edition’ retails for $59.99, but Amazon currently has it priced $20 cheaper at $39.99. ‘Epic’ and ‘Limited’ editions of the game are also available, list-priced at $149.99 and $79.99, respectively. Developed by Epic Games, Gears of War 3 was released on Sept. 20, 2011. The video game is rated “M” for mature audiences.
