Walmart’s VUDU service now supports Xbox 360 and Kinect so you can search, rent or own movies using voice and gesture commands. Your VUDU content, which also exists in the cloud, can be viewed via Xbox Live or on any device that is connected to the internet such as tablets, PCs, Blu-ray Disc players, or other consoles and devices. You can even view your Xbox Live-purchased VUDU content on Walmart.com. To promote the new service, Walmart is offering a $4.99 credit towards a purchase a rental after trying VUDU on the Xbox 360.
Vudu recently added more movies and television shows from CBS, Comedy Central, HBO, MTV, National Geographic, Nickelodeon and SHOWTIME. The company says over half of their library is available in high-definition, with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and 7.1 Surround Sound available on some titles.
