Netflix now supporting tablets with Android 3.x

As Google revealed Android 4.0 (dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich) for smartphones and tablets, Netflix announced support for tablets running Android 3.x. The new Netflix app version 1.5 is available free-of-charge to download in the Android Market. The company also announced Android support for customers in Canada and Latin America who want to stream content on their smartphones and tablets.

“With the added support for Android-powered devices, Netflix members have greater flexibility than ever in watching TV episodes and movies wherever and whenever they want,” said said Greg Peters, vice president of product development at Netflix.
